The Timber Volunteer Fire Department held their annual Chili Supper,
Cake Walk and Pie Auction on Saturday, March 8th at the Timber Lodge, in Timber, Mo.
Between donations, the cakewalk, chili supper, and other activities,
a total of $1,000 was collected. Eric Mansfield, the auctioneer, then
orchestrated the pie auction, which brought in over $1,500. The Timber Volunteer Fire Department was able to collect over $2,500 this year compared to about $1,600 last year. Over 150 people were in attendance for the benefit and the Current River Bluegrass Band provided
awesome bluegrass music. Honored during the festivities were former
President, Jack Peters and Secretary/Treasurer Bob Graham, which both
started with the Timber Volunteer Fire Department when it was founded in 1995.
